Get Ready for Virtual Inforum 2009

Make your experience at Virtual Inforum 2009 as successful as possible. Review the information below to get ready for the conference, and refer back to it to find your way.

Virtual Inforum 2009 Conference Locations

 

Plaza
Once you log in, you'll find yourself in the Plaza, where a video greeting will welcome you. Entry points for the various show locations (such as the Auditorium, Solutions Expo, Networking Square and Resource Center) are clearly marked. This is also where you'll find all the major show sponsors. Check out the navigation bar running along the bottom of the screen for quick access to all areas of the conference. 

 

Solutions Expo
Enter the Solutions Expo and find your Inforum Connections neighborhood. Click on your neighborhood to find more information on Infor products and partner solutions. If you want to get to a booth quickly, use the text-based searchable directory.

   
 

Solutions Expo Booths
Inside each booth, you'll find company and product literature. Booths are staffed by booth reps that are ready to answer all of your questions. You may participate in an ongoing booth chat with other attendees in the booth at the same time. Booths also have presentations and product demos.

   
 

Auditorium
Visit the Auditorium to view the show presentations. You can quickly search through the presentation list to locate the presentations for your Inforum Connections track, and set up Outlook reminders or save presentations to your briefcase for later viewing.

   
 

Networking Square
If you are attending Virtual Inforum 2009 for professional networking, you will love the tools in the Networking Square. Click on the Birds-of-a-Feather button to join in customer lead discussions on a variety of topics. Add to the current chat discussion topics or start your own. You may also exchange virtual business cards with other attendees, and invite them for one-on-one chats with you.

   
 

 Resource Center
The Resource Center provides the central location for viewing content, such as case studies and white papers,  and product information, as well as webcasts and other dynamic presentations.The user-friendly interface provides tools for searching, viewing, and rating each resource. You can also save resources to your briefcase for quick viewing at a later date.

Tools

My Briefcase
As you browse the show, stash away items of interest in convenient folders in your personal briefcase. Folders are set up for documents, presentations, booths, contacts, and chats. Any V-cards you receive will be downloaded to the contacts folder in your briefcase.

My Profile
After logging in, be sure to set up your profile ('My Profile') to share information about yourself with other attendees. If you are serious about professional networking, your profile is a great tool to introduce yourself. This is also where you can set your avatar, upload your photo, or change your password and privacy options.

Content Search
Content search tools are accessible right from the navigation bar. You can use basic and advanced options to fine tune your search.

Audience Support

Test Your System
Prior to logging into the virtual environment, a system test will be run to ensure your computer has the proper configuration to view the show content. This system test will evaluate your bandwidth, browser, and operating system, as well as screen resolution and cookie availability. If any of these nine tests fail, follow the on-screen tips to fix the related issue. This test catches 95% of potential problems before you enter the show.

Help Link
The ON24 help link is available on every page within the virtual show. A simple click provides you with a snapshot of the requirements for the optimal user experience, as well as quick reference guides to areas of escalation. From here, you can also find email addresses for support, an extensive knowledgebase, and an FAQ.
